These terms govern your use of NumID. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using NumID (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

NumID reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

2. Service Description

NumID provides a unified identity hub that includes:

  • Permanent email forwarding using your phone number (phone@numid.us)
  • Public directory profile to share with others
  • End-to-end encrypted vault for storing sensitive credentials

3. User Eligibility

You must be:

  • At least 13 years old (or older in your jurisdiction)
  • Located in a jurisdiction where NumID is available
  • Able to form a legal binding contract

If you are under 18, you may use NumID only with parental or guardian consent.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use NumID for:

  • Spam or unsolicited communications (including forwarding spam to your destination email)
  • Harassment, threats, or abuse of other users or NumID staff
  • Illegal activities, including fraud, phishing, or impersonation
  • Malware distribution or attempts to compromise system security
  • Scraping, automated access, or attempts to reverse-engineer the service
  • Violating any applicable laws or regulations
  • Registering multiple accounts to circumvent limits or violate policies

Violation of this policy may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • Protecting access to your account and devices
  • Notifying NumID immediately of any unauthorized access

NumID is not liable for unauthorized access due to your failure to protect your credentials.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code of NumID (including but not limited to logos, text, graphics, code) are owned by NumID or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without prior written permission from NumID.

7. User-Generated Content

Any content you upload to NumID (avatar, social profiles, vault items):

  • Remains your property
  • You grant NumID a license to display and store it for service delivery
  • You warrant that you own or have rights to all content you upload
  • You indemnify NumID against claims that your content violates third-party rights

8. Service Availability

NumID is provided "as is" without warranties. We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Continuous or uninterrupted service
  • Uptime or availability guarantees
  • Fix timelines for bugs or issues

We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions, data loss, or unavailability, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NumID and its officers, directors, and employees are not liable for:

  • Lost data or missed emails
  • Lost profits or business interruption
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Third-party actions or content

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with NumID is to stop using the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NumID from any claims, damages, or costs arising from:

  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of applicable laws
  • Your content or user-generated material

11. Termination

NumID may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these terms
  • We believe your use harms NumID or other users
  • We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, you lose access to your account. You can request data deletion per our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NumID is incorporated, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any legal action or proceeding must be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
